InkSoft - E-Commerce & Production Management
At InkSoft, I was initially hired to join the tech support team, where I leveraged my Photoshop expertise to communicate customer pain points to Engineering, driving impactful solutions. As the company expanded, I transitioned into a Design role, spending four years alongside a Senior Designer. Together, we revitalized core elements of the platform and crafted innovative new features.
Beyond the desk, I seized the opportunity to attend trade shows to connect face-to-face with users, gaining invaluable insights into their needs and challenges.

Problem Statement
The checkout experience on an InkSoft store suffered from the absence of a mobile-specific view. As team stores gained traction, mobile users comprised over 80% of all platform orders. Unfortunately, the experience proved cumbersome and, at times, outright unusable, leading to a notable surge in abandoned shopping carts and unfavorable feedback.
Result
Following the overhaul of the checkout experience to prioritize mobile functionality and streamline desktop usability, InkSoft users have seen a 42% decrease in abandoned shopping carts.
Ideation
I started by hand sketching different checkout approaches including single-page and multi-page.
Proposals
InkSoft users rely on Stores for reactive sales, yet sought a proactive approach to attract new clients and pitch team or company stores to expand their portfolio. Enter Proposals—a visually stunning presentation tool designed to impress potential clients, whether for one-time orders or ongoing store campaigns.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, Proposals revolutionize the quoting and invoicing process for existing customers. Users can effortlessly create branded products, establish pricing, and customize presentations to suit each client's needs.
On the client side, a seamless mobile experience enables easy commenting, approval, and payment, ensuring smooth communication and transactions.
User Flow
During the wire-framing phase, I meticulously crafted a visually comprehensive process flow diagram to highlight the intricate connections within the system. This step was crucial as Proposals encompassed multiple perspectives: an admin view, and a customer view, and also fed into orders, production, and product purchasing modules.
Rapid Product Creator
Creating branded products for a store used to be a laborious process, involving external creation and manual uploads with all variations added individually. But with RPC (Rapid Product Creator), users can access their blank product catalog, select colors, upload artwork, and save directly to their storefront, cutting product creation time by up to 75% while streamlining store and proposal creation.
Impact Analysis
In the RPC design process, I conducted an impact analysis to validate and communicate the breadth of product areas affected by this innovative feature to stakeholders.
Through the utilization of a sleek and intuitive custom layout, I transformed intricate data into easily accessible and digestible information.
